As the results from the presidential race have solidified, it's become clear that Joe Biden made clear gains across the country on his way to becoming president-elect.
But President Donald Trump, to a lesser extent, also notched some victories.

Here are a few notable findings from our review of election returns. They are complete as of Nov. 8; final results may vary as the remaining ballots are counted.
In every battleground state, Biden exceeded Hillary Clinton in votes, usually by double-digit percentages.
Biden's smallest increase – 7.62% – came in Ohio. Everywhere else, he increased the number of Democratic votes cast for president by between 14% and 40%.
Biden performed especially well in Arizona (a more than 40% increase in Democratic votes over 2016), Texas (34%), and Georgia (31%). Not coincidentally, Biden is on track to flip Georgia from Donald Trump's column and the AP has called Arizona for Biden, though other media outlets have labeled the race too close to call.
