The original Michael Knight, David Hasselhoff, has revealed that he is in negotiations to reboot Knight Rider.
Hasselhoff recently talked with director James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy) about making this a reality, but it's not clear how far, if at all, the project has moved forward.
Hasselhoff has let it be known that if any reboot is brought to life, that is should be a serious show, rather than a light-hearted homage to the original '80s series.
Talking to The Hollywood Reporter, Hasselhoff said: "I've given some ideas to James for Knight Rider and he responded in a big way. If it does go forward, I don't want it to be spoofed like Baywatch or 21 Jump Street. Those films lose what it's about and you have to respect the fans."
