A robot doctor has been created that stimulates the growth of internal organs

The regenerative capabilities of our body, despite the large reserves, are very limited, especially if the issue concerns the restoration of internal organs after damage.

First of all, the robotic medical system is designed to treat atresia of the esophagus - it is an innate underdevelopment of the esophagus with a complete lack of physiological clearance and obstruction.

A new implant robot not only allows the patient to be conscious, but also does not require particularly strict bed rest. It is fixed on the esophagus and itself is covered with a soft, biologically inert envelope. The robot is secured with two special ring-shaped fasteners, which slowly "pull" the esophagus, stretching it in the right direction. In the course of experiments on animals, tissue growth of up to 2.5 millimeters in 24 hours was achieved.

Dr. Pierre Dupont,

"No one knows the optimal force that should be applied to stimulate organ growth. The robot can determine the necessary amount of force and apply it as accurately and effectively as possible. "
