There is a legend regarding the name of Bandarban district. within the ancient type of inhabitants of the world, there have been several monkeys living in these areas and these monkeys wont to eat salt frequently within the hills close to the doorway of town.
Due to the continual rain, because of the rise of the water of the clay, the monkeys may cross the rhythm and cross the rhyme within the row. The folks of this city will see the monkey crossing scene. Since then, this place has been referred to as "Maakkhi Chhara."
