The question of whether we are alone in the universe has been asked countless times by countless people and every time we hear about something ‘unexplained’ related to the matter, we can’t help but get our hopes up that maybe this time it finally is ‘them’.

Whether it be an unexplained signal from a galaxy far, far away or be it a strange phenomena in the sky or better yet, the popular UFO sightings that have become more of a pop culture phenomena, we humans are filled with excitement and hope to meet our cosmic neighbors.

There are even countless conspiracy theories about alien beings from outer space which range from them being involved with our race since ancient times, to them living under the surface of our planet! Anyways, it seems the longing for contact is getting stronger by the day.

Well, don’t get your hopes up just yet, but it seems like two classified footage of UFOs being tracked by the navy have been released a couple days ago amidst an admission by the US Department of Defense of a secret program to track such objects.

Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program

A New York Times article stated that the Pentagon had been running a secret program with a budget of $22 million to investigate reports of UFOs and was run by a military intelligence official, Luis Elizondo.

The program is said to have begun in 2007 and ended in 2012, though insiders tell that although the funding for the program ended in 2012, efforts are still underway as before to investigate such objects.

The NY Times article also went on to say that officials have studies countless videos unexplained phenomena and objects, often also encountered by military aircraft.

Amidst the reveal of this secret program, two videos also surfaced online which are said to have been released by the Pentagon but some other reports refute that claim. Anyways, they all agree on one fact that this is a classified military footage (you can watch the video above).

Could It Be Real?

Although major news agencies are reporting that the videos have come from the Pentagon’s highly secretive program itself, critics seem to think otherwise.

In fact, Dr Francisco Diego of UCL’s Science and Astronomy Department has said that the video is probably fake and that there is zero probability of alien life in the two videos released by the NY Times.

He compares the video to a ‘badly made video game’ stating that the clouds in the video are fake, having a very strange illumination.

Personally, I am not sure what to think. Even if the video is real, and the unidentified object is real, it doesn’t necessarily mean an alien spacecraft. BUT, if it is an alien aircraft, it would be a big disclosure coming out of the Pentagon and this thing should be blowing out everywhere!

Could it be the beginning of a much comprehensive disclosure from the government or is it just something people will forget in a few weeks time?
