At present, there is a war between the telecom companies of the country over the ringing time of outgoing calls. Reliance Jio first changed the duration of the ring and reduced their time to 25 seconds. Therefore, Airtel and Vodafone have also reduced the ring time to 25 seconds to compete with Jio. The standard ring time in India is 30 seconds while at global level the ring time is 15 to 20 seconds.

All this has been done to reduce the cost of the interconnect usage fee. Currently its rate is 6 paise per minute. Airtel has said that this may cause trouble to the user as it is often delayed in picking up the phone. Airtel says That will increase the number of missed calls and may also have a negative impact on call quality.
