I don't get how the M-like symbol on the envelope is supposed to uncover the letters of "by fire" etc when overlaid on on the (flipped) matrix of symbols.. There seems to be a lot of other symbols that should also have been circled in the different cases (making it not that interesting anymore) if this was a consistent rule?

Or maybe i've misunderstood how the symbol uncovers these different words?
