The U.S. was found guilty in the assasination of Dr. Martin Luther King

On 8 december 1999 the U.S. goverment was found guilty in the assasination of Dr. Martin Luther King.
This was the only trial ever held regarding the murder of Dr. Martin L. King. James Earl Ray plead guilty although he never said he killed Martin L. King, he plead because of Alford.
An Alford plea is a guilty plea in criminal court, whereby a defendant in a criminal case does not admit to the criminal act and asserts innocence. He did it to avoid the death penalty. Good luck winning a trial when the U.S goverment uses you as scapegoat. The only reason they could frame him was because of the riffle. But the bullet and the gun didn't match. At that time they didn't had the sientific technology to prove it. On 8 december after 4 weeks of trial an independant jury found the U.S. goverment guilty. The overwhelming evidence of US government complicity found valid by the jury includes:

• US 111th Military Intelligence Group were at Dr. King’s location during the assassination.
• 20th Special Forces Group had an 8-man sniper team at the assassination location on that day.
• Usual Memphis Police special body guards were advised they “weren’t needed” on the day of the assassination.
• Regular and constant police protection for Dr. King was removed from protecting Dr. King an hour before the assassination.
• Military Intelligence set-up photographers on the roof of a fire station with clear view to Dr. King’s balcony.
• Dr. King’s room was changed from a secure 1st-floor room to an exposed balcony room.
• Memphis police ordered the scene where multiple witnesses reported as the source of shooting cut down of their bushes that would have hid a sniper.
• Along with sanitizing a crime scene, police abandoned investigative procedure to interview witnesses who lived by the scene of the shooting.
• The rifle Mr. Ray delivered was not matched to the bullet that killed Dr. King, and was not sighted to accurately shoot.

I do beleve that in this community and the crypto community in general we know that goverments are sometimes completly messed up. One day we will have to do something about it and make our own contribution. I do have some other topics that I am looking for someone to write about. For example the fact that HSBC admitted to launder money for terrorist organisations over a period of 10 year!!! their sanction... 2 weeks profit...
