Steemit is about curating content. The content on the trending page has already been curated; so I never visit it. I go to the created page instead.

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
