Manchester United have been quoted a £50 million valuation of the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Eric Dier, whom Jose Mourinho wants signed in time for the new season.
Mourinho regards Dier as the long-term replacement for Michael Carrick, another United acquisition from Spurs 11 years ago, who has been given another one-year extension to keep him at Old Trafford until the summer of 2018.
Wow man utd are really going on a buying spree but their team isn't good enough by mourinho's standards.
The other question is why would dier want to leave? Spurs are clearly the better team at the moment.
