Facebook is becoming quite impressive with it's augmented reality AI, having some ways of taking a photo and creating a 3D model of the environment you capture with a camera and then being able to do some fancy manipulation of that 3D model in post-processing. I think on the surface it's a bit lame because they have these amazing technologies then use them for silly nonsense like putting graphics on a coffee table, but it will serve as a good foundation for having the public get familiar with the powers of augmented reality.
