The now annual Garryana American single malt offering from Seattle, Washington-based Westland Distillery has, over the years, been an exploration of the impact of Pacific Northwest native oak on whiskey. It is something the distillery has tweaked a bit over time, subject to such things as availability of ready whiskey and the oak itself. For 2019 it is back yet again, this time bringing with it some ex-PX sherry cask back up.
