NGO Darpan is an online portal maintained by the NITI Aayog. It is a portal where all the NGOs/VOs have to register themselves if they want to apply for grants under various schemes of Government departments and Ministries.
NITI (National Institution for Transforming India) Aayog was formed in January 2015 with the aim to achieve, maintain, and promote sustainable development goals. Its principle includes people's participation in government schemes. To accomplish the principle, NGO Darpan under NITI Aayog (https://www.professionalutilities.com/ngo-darpan-registration.php) works for a better partnership and relation between NGOs and the Government Departments.
This portal also helps in maintaining data and records of all the NGOs/VOs in the state which concludes with more transparency, efficiency, and accountability, and greater partnership between the government and the voluntary sector.
Any VO / NGO which is registered as a trust/ society/ a private limited non profit company, under section-25 Company of the Indian Companies Act, 1956 is eligible to get registered under Niti Aayog. No individual can apply for NGO Darpan or NITI Aayog registration.
