Many people eat what they see or what they can afford to get just to satisfy their stomach, without thinking if the food is good for their health and if its balance diet.
Today, I shall be given tips on foods that can destroy our health if taken too much of it.
- SALT: most of us eat too much of salt both knowingly or unknowingly, part of the reason our intake is so high is that SALT is present in most processed foods as a preservative, thereby making it difficult to avoid. Such food includes: Noodles, Pasta, Bread, Biscuits, etc.
Salt can induce high blood pressure, irritate menstrual cycle, excessive salt also have a stimulating and weakening effect on the adrenal gland, muscles and nervous system.
Excessive salt intake will indeed reduced life span if not controlled.
HOW TO LIMIT SALT INTAKE
i. Reduce intake of processed foods
ii. Do not add raw salt to already cooked food
iii. When cooking noodles and pasta, do not add extra salt.
- FAT: There are foods that simply are not good for you and should be eliminated from your diet. They are saturated fats, generally falls into 2 groups - saturated and Unsaturated. Saturated fats are found in cheese, milk, palm oil, hard margarine, vegetable fats and biscuits. They pose great danger to our health when taken too much. They contribute to obesity, heart disease, strokes and cardiac arrest and puts unnecessary strains on the heart. There is also evidence that a high fat diet contributes to the growing incidence of breast, Colin and prostrate cancer.
Poly unsaturated fats are a subgroup of unsaturated fats, and they are healthy to take. Sources of these good fats are: Sun flower oil, soy oil, nuts, and mackerel. Poly unsaturated fats do not raise cholesterol levels in the blood. They also help in restoring everyday wear and tear.
- SUGAR: It is one of the most common good addictives. It is an "empty" food in that it's calories has to draw on the nutrients in the body to give energy. Too much of it makes our adrenal glands to be over loaded and become sluggish. This reduces our ability to relax, causing irritability and lack of concentration. Its also strains our insulin producing glands and in so doing induces diabetes and obesity, it's also causes tooth decay and mood swings.
HOW TO LIMIT SUGAR INTAKE
i. Do not add extra sugar to tea and beverages.
ii. Limit consumption of soft drinks (cola, sodas and bitters) and also "fruits drinks".
- ALCOHOL: The quantity of Alcohol we consume contributes to stress and create health problems. A limited quantity can benefit the body, for example, Red wine may benefit the heart.
However, alcohol is a toxic that poisons the brain and rises stress levels. Alcohol stimulates the secretion of adrenaline, producing the same problems of nervous breakdown, irritability and insomnia (sleeplessness) it increase fat deposits in the heart and decrease immune function. It also attacks the liver, reducing it's ability to detoxify the body. These toxins include Hormones released during stress, which will continue to circulate in the body if liver function is impaired.
- CAFFEINE: caffeine is found in substances like kola nut, coffee, tea, chocolate and coca-cola. It is a strong stimulan In small ddoses. Caffeine can be good to the body, it increases alertness and activity in muscles, nervous system and the heart. However, too much caffeine has side effect on the body system like prolonged stress-anxiety, over stimulation, headache, migraine, emotional instability and heart palpitations.
ALL THE ABOVE FOOD CAN BE TAKEN IN LITTLE CONTENT BUT TOO MUCH OF IT IS DANGEROUS.

I agree with almost everything what you have said except the salt. Table salt is absolutely useless, but sea salt or some other good mineral salt could even prove beneficial and would add more zest to our dishes. Gosh, I would never eat any noodles which were cooked without salt, they taste terrible ;-)

I know people intentionally over do stuff buh this is what i no in reality. People consume what is sometimes aveilable at their sites. If they have choice they will chose to eat healthy but sometimes they cant due to some circumstances. Thanks for alerting us.
