What are some really interesting NLP projects that have immediate applications

I can think of an automatic chat bot.

It can process the input text and answer simple questions. For example, a chat bot can bè very helpful to firms that sell products online.
It Can respond to the questions that customers might have about products and give them simple questions about products or services.

Actually, there is a startup in Italy offering those services to small businesses Prova Awhy Gratis (http://www.awhy.it)
