Mike Conley'sdad, witness to Carl Lewis

in no •  5 years ago

If anyone saw the greatness of Carl Lewis firsthand, it was Mike Conley's dad. Conley was a competitor, jumping 26' when Lewis jumped 27'..27' to Lewis' 28'etc.
Lewis did not jump 29'
He went straight to 30' plus..in Indiana..on one night in 1983.
There was no footprint in the plasticene; not even a scratch, and the jump was called back..never to reach the record books.
My cousin was there, minister of sport for Barbados.
There you go, two or three witnesses: Mike Conley's dad and my cousin.
