I just read a post with a lovely translation from the wonderful author Kazuo Ishiguro who was just awarded the 2017 Nobel prize for literature. A well deserved award as he is a marvellous writer. My comment didn't appear so I am mentioning it here.
The novel he wrote; "Remains of the Day", which was made into a film with Emma Thompson and Anthony Hopkins is am amazing piece of writing especially considering he is not English, he only lives here. However his capturing the nuances of the day and the humans of that era is nothing short of genius. Such a good thing when somebody gets a prize that is so deserved.
The 2017 Nobel Peace prize was also deservedly given to the 'International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons'. Let's hope they achieve their goal.
