Physics Nobel prize awarded to programmers.

Machine learning is important and all, but how did two programmers just beat out Frederico Capasso for the 2024 Nobel Prize in physics??

Giving out that prize for glorified computer programming means that there was no prize awarded for physics this year.

Capasso (and all the other physicists doing foundational work) were robbed. Capasso especially is long overdue for that recognition.
