Hello, my fellow Humans! I hope all is well in whatever corner of our Earth it is you currently find yourselves. It has been quite a few weeks since my first blog post, but In that time away I have been putting my plans into action and have begun making my small transitions and achieving the little victories I need in order to make my dream of living nomadic and minimalistic a reality.
As I sit at the moment since my first post, I have moved out of my apartment and moved back in with my mother temporarily to help me save as much money possible to help fund my dream of spending the rest of my life traveling the world. Though she is happy to have me home, I feel like this is one of the biggest sacrifices I am making due to the fact that I love my solitude and independence, but the ability to live my dream as a world traveler and adventurer far outweighs the frustration and anxiety with moving back home.
The next small victory is my registration for some Automotive/Diesel and welding classes at my local community college. Being able to work on my own vehicle and having an additional skill to help supplement my income while I'm on the road is another big piece of the puzzle to the nomadic lifestyle. Though I will have a good chunk of funds saved for this adventure, I plan on doing it for as long as I possibly can. Since I am in no way a self-made millionaire or trust fund baby, having extra sources of money is definitely the only way this is going to happen for me. Living minimalistic is not living poor. I believe that I can have an outstanding, if not better quality of life without all of the worries and clutter that come along with living in today's modern materialistic society.
This brings me to my third little victory, finally letting go of material things. I have begun piles in the basement of things to sell, donate, or throw away. I am getting rid of everything except what I need to live on the road and some camera equipment to document my adventures for everyone to follow. I plan on having some yard sales as soon as the weather gets warm enough for it, but until then I will continue to no longer purchase anything I don't need that is not 100% essential to my survival or to my mission.
Though these may seem somewhat insignificant, they are some of the key starting points of the newest chapter of my life. I thank you for subscribing and following along and will be back soon with more updates. Until then I say Love yourself and live your life.

A couple of tips to help you on Steem:
Put at least one image in every post. If you don't, there will be no thumbnail and people are less likely to click on your post.
Tag choice is key to getting your post in front of the people who would enjoy it. You're limited to 5, so use them wisely. You essentially doubled up on the nomad and veteran theme. I recommend choosing one for each and losing the extra. Nomad is my recommendation for the first theme (lose nomadiclifestyle), and take your pick between marine and veteran (I'd choose the broader veteran tag).
