A little girl with big dreams,
crushed into millions of pieces.
Decisions were made for her,
None left for her to choose.

Involuntary, she went
With an empty heart,
With a forced smile,
With her passion faked.

A class full of fools,
She thought.
Oh, so cold was the witch’s heart
On her very first day.

Slowly the emptiness inside fades,
The fire inside her sparks and rekindles.
When they nod and understood what she said;
Surprised! She let out a little giggle.

She now learns beauty
of how capable, the heart changes.
From cruelty to kindness;
From fools to flowers.

The witch became a gardener;
A gardener of those little flowers.
Fearing of watching them wither;
Each one of them, she waters.

By the time it was over,
She received letters and notes
Of love from the fools
That she once declared.

With the words, “don’t go”,
Pleading while crystalized liquids
Ran down their cheeks,
And soon on hers as well.

What she once knew
To be fake,
Was now,
Known to be real.

Truly, that was
The end of forcing
And the start of accepting.

(P.S. To my readers - I’ve always dreamed of becoming a lawyer. However, God has other plans for me. As they say, “every cloud has a silver lining”. I have found that silver lining during my school based experience.)
