HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT TAGS FOR YOUR POST.

The use of tags are very serious concerns for every newbie that gets initiated into the system. You find some using usernames of people who got them in the system and all. This is not wrong as a username could be a tag but what determines a good tag is the frequent use of this tag and than it's popularity. Nonetheless, one could create a tag for his use.

Now it then all boils down to what are tags? Which is also know as hashtags.

a word or phrase preceded by a hash sign (#), used on social media websites and applications, especially Twitter, to identify messages on a specific topic.

Now with this we could be guided on what tags are. Tags are basically keywords used to facilitate quick search on a particular topic.

Thus, the use of tags on steemit, enables users search for desired topics they wish to read up on. Therefore stating the clear need for the use of right tags.

Remember i said it facilitates quick search. Thus, when putting up a blog post, make sure you put in key words that would enable you get an audience. E.g your post is a motivational post; your first tag should be motivation. Not necessarily the first but advicably the first. With this every user interested in motivation would see your work just cause you have used that tag. Secondly, if you belong to a community e.g stach, it's essential you use the tag. That way you get support from your community. Also the use of related keywords e.g motivation; inspiration.

But the use of wrong thats might get you into trouble or won't attract the right audience and that way, you blog won't get any traction .

In sum, how to choose the right tag are firstly, define your audience. Secondly use keywords of what you are write about. Thirdly, use community tags especially your community. Also use location tags to gain some geographical support. Use project-tags when you write about a project. Avoid using tags that are not related to what you have written; avoid spamming.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT TAG FOR YOUR POST.

For me though, i choose my tags basically on what am writing about. There are different tags for different post all you need to do is to find the tags that fits the title of your post and you are good to go.

Basically tags are used according to the kind of post you are to publish, i believe when you use the right tags you will get the right audience.

The right way for me is : know what you are posting about, get the tags that fits in and you're good to go...

I believe i answered this question to my best of knowledge.....

Thanks......

GETTING THE RIGHT TAG

The right tag equals the right audience, which in turn decides the number of upvotes you get on that post. Usually getting the right audience means you use the tag that suits the theme of your write up, for example if one is writing on peotry, poetry or poem should be the first tag, also one can do a premilinary survey as to what tag do people writing on similar theme use the most as this we create for the post a large amkunt of audience, another criterion for choosing tag is use the tag of efficient curation trail, for example @genesisproject @onequality @reachout help users from nigeria and africa, also one can use the tag of one's country eg. Nigeria, philippines, etc this is very important because often our mentality in writing or our creativity stems out from the enviroment we live, where else can one get a suitable audienence to one's writing if not one's country.

I have no idea, usually I just stick to the ones that I see other people using!

When choosing a tag, I look out for the word or phrase that explains what I'm writing on. For instance, if I'm writing on

How to Cure Vagina Thrush Using Homemade Remedies

Then I select the health tag as this is a health topic. If my article is well-researched and detailed with a lot of scientific facts, then I also add the steemstem tag.

Next, I pick other general but relayed tags to give my blog post a better chance of getting picked so I select tags like life or community.

In summary, when picking tags, I ensure they are related to the topic being treated, and not just tags I feel are popular and gets a high percentage of hits.

When choosing your tags for a post you want to make sure they have something to do with what you wrote about. When Im kinda lost on tags, Ill open a second screen to keep things simple and go to the list of tags, Ill scan through them and choose ones that make sense with my post. Its important to make sure that they make sense with your post because if someone is looking through the tag of their choice, they are looking for those specific posts and if yours is correct than they will definitely check yours out. Many people use the tag list as a search tool to find their specific interest so you dont want to misplace your post in a tag that doesnt work.

Tags are basically keywords used as a simple quick search on a topic. Now, communities like to read something where those depend on tag . Tag can influence audience to wacth deeper content you posted.
Be honest on your post that's mean your post need consistent with content.
