Vårmarihand (Orchis mascula) høyrer til orkidéfamilien.. Mange meiner at dei høyret til dei mest ekslusive av villblomane våre. Orkidéane er den plantefamilien som har flest artar i verda. Om lag 25 000 artar meiner botanikarane høyrer til denne slekta. I Noreg er det om lag 25 artar og i Sunnhordland der eg fotograferer mest er det funne 17 orkidêar. Sjølv synest eg vårmarihand er spesielt vakker. Den trivst på kalkrik grunn sør på Bømlo og på Moster vil me kunna finna denne arten.
Early purple orchid (Orchis mascula) belongs to the orchid family. They belong most exclusive of our wildflowers. Orchids are the plant family that has the most species in the world. About 25,000 species botanists say belong to this genus. In Norway, there are about 35 species, and in Sunnhordland where there are 17 orchids found. The early purple orchid hand is particularly beautiful. It likes best limestone ground. In south of Bømlo, and at Moster, you will be able to find early purple orchids

Supre bilder av vårmarihand, @siggjo! Det er alltid gøy å finne orkideer vilt i Norge, og vi er så heldige som har flere vakre arter fra Marihandslekta. Jeg har aldri før kommet over vårmarihand, så det var kjekt å få sett et bilde av den :) Jeg ser den kun vokser ved kysten, så det er vel grunnen til at jeg aldri har funnet den her "på fjellet".
