This Town Needs Guns - Adventure, Stamina & Anger

This week has been pretty guitar-heavy for me. I've been listening to a bunch of This Town Needs Guns, a math rock band from Britain. They've got a bunch of cool songs - this was the first one I've heard from them and it's still one of my top TTNG songs.

Stray Cats - Summertime Blues

Speaking of great guitarists, Brian Setzer is one of the best there is. This tune was originally by Eddie Cochran and is somewhat of a rockabilly anthem, but I'm a huge fan of Brian Setzer's guitar playing so I chose his version for #nowplaying.

      Good tune choices! Pretty sure that's Wolfman Jack introducing Brian Setzer. Great version of Summertime Blues. I also like the Who's cover along with one from Rush.

      I'm liking TTNG! What is math rock? I've never heard of this genre???

        It's hard to differentiate from "progressive", except that it is (from wikipedia):

        characterized by complex, atypical rhythmic structures (including irregular stopping and starting), counterpoint, odd time signatures, angular melodies, and extended, often dissonant, chords

          Gosh, Audio Tree is soooooooooo good. Also so is TTNG
