I wish I could make something like Harry Potter. I really enjoyed reading and watching the series, and to know that it brings happiness to so many people around the world, I can't imagine how it would feel. And of course the money!!! $$$ kekeke

Thank you Yanes, you are so sweet <3.

hehehehehe I understand you, but with your imagination I bet you could create something better than Harry Potter. ;)

This is beautiful straya...You need to sketch me straya...when will that be

Kekeke drop me your pictures here and I might do it. No promise though :).

A wonderful drawing, with a magical story, while I was reading it I could imagine how people shrank and the person who operated it, totally charming the sunset !!♥ ︎

Hahaha, I'm glad you like the art and the little story. Whenever I draw, I usually invent a story to accompany the art. It's easier for me to create that way so I know what the character will wear and behave.

Thank you akarantain :).

I love this sky, the sun's fall is beautiful

Sunset is indeed a beautiful time of the day.

Thank you Andrea :).

So beautiful and the colours give such a romantic feeling in the artwork. As if your walking in a deep forest and sudenly you see this majestic flying fortress in front of a beautiful sunset. You inspired me to create a similar atwork as a collage animation if you dont mind @scrawly:)

That is the feeling I tried to convey and it's good that your impression of the art matches with my intent.

I'm glad I inspired you but I prefer that my art is not used by others as collage. Thank you.

Oh you misunderstood me @scrawly, i do not want to use your artwork. I was just inspired by the idea of your flying castle to create sth similar:)

Oh that's awesome! I definitely want to see your art when it's done then :).

You will:)

An interesting concept art. It’s not really similar, but it put me in mind of Howl’s Moving Castle.

I am fond of Howl, so I am honoured that you thought about the movie when you saw my art ^_^.

Thank you.

Howl’s Moving Castle is a movie? I read the book. I didn’t realize it had been made into a movie. Now I have to track it down! LOL

Wow! I didn't realise it's a book. What a pleasant surprise for both of us ^_^.

The movie is an animation made by Ghibli. It is very cute and very beautiful, a dream combination. You should definitely watch it, and hopefully you will like it as much as I do :D.

I like the color of the background and the way you made the trees surround the building. This is captivating!

What a nice observation. Thanks Maxi :D.

Cool drawing! Though it has to be worrysome in the back of minds to live there knowing that a competent wizard is the only thing holding them up safely. lol

Hahaha, worry not Blue, they are all wizards on board. And some of them are powerful enough to weave time magic, so any incident can be reverted back to safety.

Also they only need to worry when they're relocating, which is pretty normal because that's how I feel too when I fly. When they reach their new destination, the bowl part of the structure would be underground so the building will look and behave like a normal building... almost ;).

Thank you ^_^.

Well, sounds like they have plenty of fail-safes there. lol

And you’re welcome!

Real cool! Colours makes the whole image look adventures :)

I'm glad the colours bring a sense of adventures into this one.

Thanks again digi-me =D.

Such a BEAUTIFUL drawing @scrawly. A little like Alice. I always felt it must have been SO disconcerting to go from being a 'normal' size, to being a bigger size, to being a tiny size.

But what a wonderful experience to go into a room and know you will experience what it's like to be bigger or smaller than how you always see yourself as being. Kind of like all of a sudden KNOWING what it must actually be like to see a blade of grass from an ant's perspective.

Really love the feeling of the castle floating in the Universe. It's making me recall two dreams ~ One years ago, that I've never forgotten. The most beautiful city, made completely of crystal ~ In a bubble in space and I was flying past it. Was so real ~ Like that place really exists in the Universe somewhere. Will dream of castles in the sky tonight. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎

Aaaahhh that sounds like a totally wonderful dream. I've dreamt about flying a lot as well, though it's mostly dramatic and there are a lot of fear of falling down to the ground. My stupid brain can't let me relax and enjoy the beauty of the dream world.

I wish you to have the most wonderful dream the next time you sleep. If you manage to find a building like this one, let me know what you discover inside :).

I wonder how you can retrain your brain to relax as you fly around in the dream world? If you find out let me know. Flying dreams are the ultimate but the other one I mentioned was pretty scary. Taking off on a spacecraft that had no way of landing back on Planet Earth. The GREAT part about the dream was that I was OK about accepting the journey come what may.

If I ever see your castle in the sky, I'll be sure to peep inside and let you know what I see. Most likely it's deserted by now if all the residents have found an even better castle. Then again some of them may have stayed and turned such small beings that they would be virtually invisible to the human eye. So how would you Know? ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎

I love this one, @scrawly :D The gorgeous idea is just breathtaking and I love that you finally coloured it * ___ * The way you capture the dying light of the day is magical !!! Love, love LOVE that golden glow and that pink/rose/dark yellow sky so much * ___ *

I always feel like I want to go adventuring as a witch whenever I see this picture :)

upvotes and resteems

A witch adventure sounds really fun. And I'm glad if my drawing can ignite such feeling inside you, because I know you will turn it into some awesome stuff :D.

Go and brave the world, captain spider witch! o7

The structure that supports the tower looks extremely flimsy. Kaboom is a real possibility. 😄

Wouldn't that be hilarious? I can just imagine it, when the magician is not careful and spacing out on their job... then suddenly ... KA-KRASSHHH!!! Bwahahha! Thankfully some of them are powerful enough to wind back up time so there's no casualty XD.

Vielen Dank! <3

I love @scrawly's moving castle!!!

Awww, thank you very much!

Aaaa the sunset colors in this are beautiful!! I just love the sense of whimsy in this piece... For me, it calls back loosely to Howl's moving castle--just enough to imbue a sense of nostalgia..!

Oh yes, Howl is such a darling movie. I'm glad if this picture reminds you of it... maybe it's time for a rewatch? Kekeke XD

Thanks beechan ^_^.

Something about floating towers and cities evokes feelings of peace and wonder. I really like the colour palette you used here too, awesome!

Floating buildings are awesome. Now you remind me of Hitchhiker's Guide ... there's a part there that talks about flying building and it's hilarious.

Thanks Jeremy :).

I had never read the book but I loved the movie!

I have to say the book is much funnier than the movie. If you have the time and feel like reading, I would definitely recommend it :D.

What's coming after them that they need to relocate every so often?

Or do they just like moving around? :)

The foliage silhouette framing really makes the pic :D

They had some problems with the locals. It's one of those times when a mage wasn't careful enough and thus some people saw something weird and unusual happening.

Yep relocating seems like a great idea then XD

I remembered "Howl's Moving Castle" when I saw it! It is the animation of Studio Ghibli!
You truly have a talent to draw various arts richly! Awesome!!😀

I'm glad you like my art :). I draw many different styles because I'm still learning, they said once an artist becomes established, we will have our own distinct way of drawing.

Thank you ryo-san ^_^.

That's great! It is a wonderful belief!
Good luck to your wonderful artist life!😉😀

I like the little or not so little wheel at the bottom. The cap like vessel reminds me of a beanie.. I can almost picture the big propeller in place of the wheel. lol.. I like this piece!

Gehehe it's actually quite challenging for me to create something unrealistic. I'm glad you like it, thanks BD.

Congratulations @scrawly!

I am delighted! It reminds me a little of Laputa’s flying castle, but in a slightly different style)

I don't remember Laputa, but I will take your word for it :D.

{Wow I really am behind my comments, so uh... 1/X comments for @scrawly!}

Woah~ I love the sunset colours that dances about the entire post from the skies to the ship, which makes the green forestry standout nicely to the rest of the painting. Also the fact that the outlined don’t protrude out but feel natural to the objects throughout the painting. Anywho, theme of magic with metal (or as I would shorthand to Sci-Fantasy) feels complementary here and a world that would seem enjoyable to do some crazy stuff in. And the town airship (really like an oldfashioned College of Wizards) just tops off the entire painting nicely.

Any-x, I like the lil’ blurb that went with the painting. The story is a nice complement to the painting and does what thr painting beckoned to the reader to imagine why the ship was casted under a dying light. Also attention to detail on that lil’ wizard is just perfect, love it when they carry canes. My only worry is why their airship flies no colours, that seems a bit suicidal lest airships in general are a rare sight. Any a case, interesting that I see no colours other than the lookout tower (even then, that’s more of a personal banner than say an easy identifyable sign hanging in clear view for ground folk to see).

Upvot’d and resteem’d.

Thanks Felix, I appreciate your continuous support. You don't have to comment everyone of them, that must be exhausting :).

Sorry if ypu saw the other account posting. Anyways, to the message at hand:

Huff, puff - whatcha mean @scrawly? I live for the thrill of community building and networking- collapses

On a more serious note: I felt bad for not commenting and normal commenting will resume tomorrow. Anyways, yer welcome as always @scrawly (whenever this bearish economy decides to be healthy, we should go back to that commission talk we had earlier. I'm deciding to simplify some aspects of the Grunt; regardless, I got some other commission ideas I want to work out with yah).
