Maximizing My Big Band Experience: DIY art in the next big band post.

in ntopaz •  6 years ago  (edited)

This originally started out as tangent within the next big band post I was planning and editing. This is now the art post featuring stuff from the same day as rehearsal 10, part 9 of my big band series. Rehearsal 10, part 9, will be posted shortly after this art post.

Now, this, is an art post. It started out as a "Random Art" section. While creating this content I realized I had much more to talk about. It also seemed smarter to stay off of a tangent, promote the next big band post, and also challenge err... take advantage of the nTopaz platform's generous upvoting.

Please Wash Your Big Band!

The images featured came from the bathroom. I'm trying to maximize my costs. So, I'm making the best out of these unique situations. Please enjoy the following proofs of work:
Image "1." is from the chart I was performing. It's a close up shot that has been lightened with my iPhones "Markup."
Image "2." is from the restroom/bathroom/toilet, John, head, loo, or whatever you feel like spamming in comments.
Image "3." is the final version with the two images overlapping just for fun. I also used an "HDR" type filter to make it all look similar. It's a nice to help the text I added pop out more.
Image "3." was processed with an app called PicsArt.

Urinal Stuff

The image below shows the 7 slightly altered duplicates I used to make the Wash Your Big Band collage GIF

Below that, we can see the No Big Band Parking Urinal image variations I created and also the image I used in a GIF.

The last 6 images seen in my camera roll were used within the Big Band Broadcasts section of the next post. They are the graphical references to my broadcast highlights. See the times?

Intro Big Band Calendar GIF

To make the GIF containing the calendar notification I used all my tools. First, I used PicsArt to create several different images with the number 29 slight altered.

I also cut some length off the entire calendar image. This is the part I cut off.

After I created enough images to animate the calendar's number 29, I tried to used my iPhone's Markup functions to add text to the images. See it in my camera roll gallery below.

I hated the GIF this all created. It was intermittently proportioned and the text was hard to read. So, I abandoned that.
Markup in the iPhone camera roll allows me to revert back to original images. I'm glad. I used it to regain my wiggle number 29 calendar images. I was determined to use them in the first GIF.
To assist this determination, I shortened the GIF's text. The GIF title doesn't need to be the same as the post's title.
So, I used PicsArt again to add each of the calendar images over the image of the bass notes that I mentioned before.

The image above show the seven images I put together in GIF maker.

Next I used GifMaker to add the little guy at the bottom and shorted text too.

I also used the bathroom wall to make a @steemseph GIF.

That just doesn't sound good.
First, I created a video by panning the camera along the wall with the intention of adding text later. Actually I took two videos just to be sure. Below is a screen shot of that video.

To add "@steemseph" text and make the final GIF, I used an app called GIF Maker.

It's not the greatest, but it's gotten me to this point. I know it's limitations. GifMaker helped me create this final GIF:

I used other filters to create different colors and speed various:

I made more, but that's probably enough. Those GIFS consume lots of space on my Wordpress account. I'm posting with busy.org currently and I can add them later. I can't edit with SteemIt.com because ever time I press the update button, it creates an error. Steempeak doesn't allow GIF. It's been to long since I've used esteem. So, I can't remember what...

Anyway, enough random art.

How long did it take you?

Almost a month. I started most of the art work 2-3 days ago. Some of it was done on April 29 and a bay or two after. It always easier to work on a post the day after.
I’ve drank a lot of coffee. Probably more than I’m going to earn on this post. It took me many coffees ago. 😬

Haha, think of it as discounted coffee when you get the payout.

You creating those images, that means you must be good in it

Thanks, I’m trying. 😊
