I just finished reading Charles Blow's most recent column, in which he reflects on his own mortality. He writes personally, thoughtfully, insightfully:
> "I have started to manage my regrets and to reduce them, to forgive myself for foolish mistakes and reckless choices, to remember that we are all just human beings stumbling through this life, trying to figure it out, falling down and getting back up along the way. I have learned to cut myself some slack and get on with being a better person..."
I read his columns from time to time, but I've never agreed with him or liked him before. Not infrequently, reading his column has angered me. But not today. Today I saw another side of Charles Blow. And I appreciate the opportunity he gave me to think about my own life -- both my past and my future.
Thank you, Charles.
