Hi all. Here will be my journey relating maintaining my house in the outer borough of NYC. I'm looking to how to solve my ecb violation for replacing my boiler and hot water heater with plumber that screwed up the paper works. I will not mention the so called licensed plumber company. They had some of the permits, but they didn't go all the way. An inspection came and the not next thing I know it, I receive a summons for ecb violations for not having the proper gas inspection, certificates and permits. Originally they had the hearing date on Jan 19. I told the plumber company about this. They said the summons is under their company name and it did not involve me. But checking online, ECB board put a lien on my house and they have the respondent as the plumber's company, my name is still on the letter and the summons is on my house.
So now, plumber's company do not want me to call them too much. They say they'll take care of it, but I don't trust them because they didn't do it the first time. Something did happen though, because last I check there is a postponement till March 9 at 8:30 am. Since it has my name on it, I may have to go to the hearing. I don't know if I should call the plumber or what, to see what's up because they are not giving me any updates. Now I am deciding to talk to an architect who have experience with dob and ecb building violations. I called with the info. I'm waiting for their reply and I probably go to their office next week to talk to them in person. They say on the website, they have 18 years of experience.
If you all have experience with this or know what to do exactly, give some replies below. I'll add more post to give an update and continue my house journal on this.
