The administration of former-President Barack Obama is known for participating in plenty of shady behavior. An investigation is blossoming and the results are revealing a smoking gun.
Judicial Watch released new documents that relate to both the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), and the Obama administration. The information contained in the documents is leading attorneys to express concern that certain political committees were hiding their true intentions to exploit a loophole. This loophole would make it so that the companies are not subject to FEC law.
The documents show, without a doubt, that the Obama DOJ asked IRS employees — who were planning on testifying before Congress — to turn over documents before showing Congress. In other words, it sounds like Obama’s DOJ wanted to make sure the IRS wasn’t going to shoot them in the foot.
There is no other logical reason they would want to see this particular information first. But this is where the smoking gun can be found.
As it turns out, the IRS caved. They eventually handed over 12 disks of data. Contained on these disks were 1.25 million pages of confidential IRS returns.
To make matters worse, there were also 113,000 nonprofit social 501(c)(4) welfare groups in the data. This information is leading toward the prosecution of some in the Obama DOJ.
After two lawsuits, Judicial Watch was finally able to get their hands on the information involving this case. The lawsuits are titled Judicial Watch v. Internal Revenue Service and Judicial Watch v. Department of Justice.
New information is being dug up every day and it is painting a behind-the-scenes picture of these two federal agencies that has many Americans scratching their heads.
For example, there are new IRS documents that include a “DOJ Recap” memo from 2010. The memo was sent out by IRS Exempt Organizations Tax Law Specialist Siri Buller. The letter was directed to top IRS officials and it spoke of a meeting with reps from the DOJ’s Criminal Divisions’ Public Integrity Section and just one person from the FBI.
The topic of the conversation was whether or not they could prosecute nonprofit organizations for alleged political activity. In other words, again, everyone is trying to keep their bases covered.
Judicial Watch is making headway in exposing Obama era shenanigans. Is JW getting close to a smoking gun?
This not only shows intent to commit the crime but intent to avoid getting caught — premeditation by definition. It is important to note that any organization can have their exemption revoked if the company misstated what they did, or operated in a manner different than they represented.
The search for loopholes could be one of the nails in the coffin of the corrupt Obama administration. It seems that not a day goes by that new information about their deep-seated corruption gets exposed.
Judicial Watch is known for fighting the Obama administration’s secretive nature to reveal information that otherwise would be hidden. Their pursuit of the truth is bringing the country closer to the answers that the American people deserve.
