Drawing lesson. Draw a tree with leaves

Recently I published a small master class of drawing a simple tree. There was a speech about the proper construction of trunk and branches. But what if you want to draw a tree with foliage, with fluffy leaves? Let's try to do it in stages.

To start, place the painting, relegating the future of the tree a little to the left. Then hold the first line, draw the contour of the hill on which the tree grows, the crown and trunk.

In the next step yfрисуем thick branches, which are visible only from below, but not extending to the top of the tree.

A little lower, draw a line that will represent the crown in the back of the tree. See, now our crown looks quite nice, like a hat worn on the trunk with branches.

Now draw a tree roots and major veins on the trunk. The roots of our tree as if embraces the hill on which grows.

Now let's do some basic approximate breakdown of those bundles of leaves that make up the crown. Remember: each branch ends that such a "ball" of leaves.

Draw more details on the trunk, roots, and denote the illuminated among the back part of the crown hole in the foliage.

Begin stroking. Traditionally, I'm doing this from dark areas to light, but if it is not comfortable, then start with the light areas, that is with the crown.

I haven't touched the crown and draw the trunk forward. Remember that it is rounded, and it often consists of thick, sinewy segments.

The turn to the roots. They are a continuation of the trunk, so are drawn by the same rules.

Now let's do the basic shading of the part of the crown, which is on the back. It is possible to make simple, solid lines will Refine later.

The front part of the crown to draw is not as difficult as it may seem. Most importantly, to delineate in more detail the contour of the crown of small leaves, and then highlight a few tufts of foliage at the front.
Shadow on leaf "balls" drawn on the same principle, if we really were drawing simple geometric shapes.

At this stage, select a darker shaded from crown branches, darken the right side of the crown, because it's all in the shade. Now we see that the left part of the crown lit stronger.
Here you can slightly separate the individual leaves on the back of the crown, draw some grass around the roots and outline barely visible in the background standing far away view of hills and trees.

Inspect our tree, and I think you should make the crown more deep and rounded.
Now you can finish.
