OCD International Team is looking for 1 Dutch and 1 Belgian Curator!

in ocd •  7 years ago  (edited)

Hey everyone!

OCD back at it looking to grow their international team! This time we are looking for a dutch and belgian curator to join our ranks. If you check out steemittraffic you can see that the userbase from there are both close to one another at rank #12 and #13. We understand that there might not be all that many languages being written in that language but hope that having specific curators for them will raise that activity.

OCD is a manual curation group of over 30 curators, we strive to find undervalued posts from unique authors that may have gotten missed and give them a second chance at attention by presenting their work in our articles while at the same time supporting them. We are very transparent about our operation and encourage other manual curators to earn more curation rewards by voting on our nominations before us which are unique and not covered by automatic upvotes.
As someone not in the team you can help us and the authors by checking out their posts through our articles and at the same time find posts and authors you might be interested in for the long haul.

What your daily activities are as a curator

  • You search for original content posts (no plagiarism) that are undervalued (under $10 rewards) and nominate them for curation on our discord channel.
  • You vote on other posts by the other curators in the team to choose which ones make the daily compilation post. (also on the discord channel)
  • Since only a couple of you will be able to understand that language, the person in charge of writing the post that week won't be able to write descriptions to the post themselves so the curators will have to add short descriptions when nominating it. Preferably in both the native language and in english. (More info on that on discord later)

Reward distribution

  • 50% of the SD from the daily multi-language posts go to all (language) curators and 50% to the ones whose nominations make the compilation post.
  • 50% of the SP remains with the account but you get a stake in it depending on your nominations and activity. When you decide to leave the project you will receive your share in Steem/SP.
  • There will also be a bonus 1000 SP delegated to each curator while they are involved in the project!

Apply here in this post if you want to become a Curator in our project. Being able to speak english is also a requirement.

Bear in mind that we will vet your account to make sure you are the right user for the job.

Thank you for your interest.

I would love to become a Dutch curator for OCD!
I have been on the platform for quit a while now and I know how curating works! I am based in the Netherlands and a native speaker. This would be a way for me to give back to the members and the platform! I am a vivid reader and don't mind spending hours until I find the right post! I am in touch with a huge number of dutch steemers and groups!

I'm happy to vouch for @poeticsnake too. She's a genuinely talented individual who I'm certain would be a huge asset to OCD.

I vouch for @poeticsnake! She's an amazing member of the community and should certainly be considered for the dutch curator!

@poeticsnake is a great curator and an excellent addition to the OCD team. I am very familiar with her work and she has my 100% support!

Vote Snek! She is the most poetic of sneks and also is a mean hand-puppeteer. On a more serious note, she has been around the platform for a long time and knows the ins and outs - @poeticsnake is an amazingly supportive member of the community and an experienced curator and would be a tremendous asset to your team. Cheers - Carl "Top Curie Curator for 8 weeks Running" Gnash

@poeticsnake is a top curator and should be considered for this role. I vouch for her.

PICK THIS ONE!

@PoeticSnake is the right person for the role.

I think @poeticsnake would be an ideal candidate because she is authentic and cares about quality of content and finding great works.

I would love to vote and promote Ms. Snekky, she is an awesome Steemit Veteran and she has also launched a Dolphin Initiative on Discord, with up to 60+ members. She is very artistic and community minded, and into helping others. I can strongly say she would be a great Dutch Curator! :D

@poeticsnake would be the perfect choice!

@poeticsnake is such a great curator. As a new member of Steemit she helped me a lot on my first posts. Vote for her and this selection.

I vote for @poeticsnake , she is an incredible user with amazing potential.

@poeticsnake is the way to go! Any curation team would be lucky to have her in it because she is such an amazing member of the community who truly uplifts and supports other users on the platform, and she already does a lot of solo curation on her own as well as with Ma1neEvent. She knows what she is doing and I really do believe she would be a perfect fit for this!! You can't go wrong if you go with @poeticsnake!

your time will come saipan ;) haha need to learn a little harder :P

Vote for @poeticsnake, she has the ability and the commitment to be a great healer. you can count on my help. Greetings from Venezuela.

@poeticsnake is a long standing steemian and a great curator. Also she makes amazing content for Steemit and should definitely be considered as a top curator and content creator.

I throw my hat in the ring for her.

dat werd nondeju tijd dat ze hier mee kwamen / it's about time this was going to be something ;) ... Well to support all it's a good thing to know that the Dutch community rather has a pretty packed community server on discord called the lionslegion.. you should take a look there @acidyo and find the currator there since we do our best to keep it growing with all dutch native speakers, mostly Netherlands and Belgium ... --> Glad to invite you there, everybody is welcome we can all speak english when needed but don't get scared of dutch words okay ;) https://discord.gg/BK4uPqq

@Acidyo Dear member of ocd, personally I think that the job as curator for Dutch blogs is right for me. Personally, I am the founder of the 'lions legion daily report'. It is a report for Dutch-speaking steemit accounts. In the 'lions legion daily report' there are several articles to help the Dutch-speaking blogger on steemit. So we each give a translation of the faq of steemit. Also in every 'the lions legion daily report' the 5 better Dutch-language posts are mentioned and promoted, not only by naming them in the daily but also a reference is placed in their comments that the blog was named in the 'the lions legion daily report 'and these blogs are 100% up to date and linked to my facebook and twitter where I have 900 followers as an artist. There is also an interview every time in the 'lions legion daily report' with an interview with one of the dutch blogger on steemit, so that we get to know each other better. So as you can see I am already a curator for Dutch bloggers on steemit. So I would really appreciate it if I were appointed as curator for Dutch-language posts on steemit. thanks in advance

There is some dutch and some english edition of 'the lions gelion daily report' This is some link to the project 'the lions legion daily report' https://steemit.com/steemit/@jackjohanneshemp/the-lions-legion-daily-report-13-dec-2017-english-edition

Hey! Contact me on steemit.chat or discord under the same username for an invite to the group! :)

I vouch for @jackjohaeshemp because he's been really dedicated doing the lions legion daily compilation which features steemian from Netherland. I think he's suitable for this role for he is willing to work and very dedicated at what he does. He also speaks decent English. I hope you take his application as a consideration too.

thx a lot

@jackjohanneshemp has been a solid constant in our little community : #thelionslegion.

HE'S GOT MY VOTE!!

thx a lot

I would love to become a curator for Dutch language. I’m not a native Dutch speaker but I’m living in Belgium and doing my study in Dutch. I’d like to spot excellent Dutch content, in order to encourage more to join.

Yes, we should definitely take actions to promote Steem in our terrorities.

You're not going to be getting any followers or upvotes by spamming like this..

I'd be honored to become a Belgian/Dutch curator for OCD. I live in Belgian, am a native Dutch speaker and write in the language for a living.

In my day to day job I am an editor-in-chief of one of the biggest gaming websites of the Benelux, so I know quality when I see it.

I'm a firm believer in this platform and really wish the Dutch language can start to flourish on here. So I believe that Dutch OCD curation would a great step in that direction.

Dear @acidyo, I'm Dutch. Becoming an OCD member has been on my Steemit To Do list since september :)

I'm also in touch with many Dutch steemians and the Dutch steems groups on Discord.

This would be an awesome opportunity!

@acidyo as founder of thelionslegion I can recommend @jackjohanneshemp as a great curator for the dutch speaking community.. he is very committed and never missed a daily so he is consistent aswell.. he is belgium but belgium / dutch is the same if we talk about dutch langualge so... you should reach out to him I know he wants this very bad aswel so.. and ofcourse @poeticsnake.. so @jackjohanneshemp and @poeiticsnake would be a great choice... jack = belgium and poeticsnake is holland :)

thx a lot

Hi @Acidyo, I've been looking for ways to be of any use on this platform. If given the opportunity, I would love to give it a shot. Dutch is my native language and I do read a lot.

If this is what I can do to help reward undervalued posts, I will do it gladly.

It's awesome to see your team grow :) Do you have any Slovenian curators ?

Not yet. We will be adding more and more languages depending on traffic stats in the future. :)

May be my language will be include in future

Ok, thank you very much for the anwser, looking forward for all beautiful future posts :)

Damn, Acid. You're going to have a full-fledged United Nations of curation going on here soon with all these recent additions, bro. Glad to see though that you guys are growing the team even further in such a short amount of time. Keep up the good work, bud!

Wowww..
I should to join this chalenge.
Maybe i can be a winner.
@acidyo

If you speak either of the languages well you could! :p

cool...and do you have curators for Portuguese language? by the way, i know it's not well related to the subject but we are creating a group of autistic adults in Portugal....and this steem account will support it....if you could at least follow us so that you have access to our posts in the future it would be great....and if, in the future, you would see any good post from us and upvote it even with a small percentage of you SP it would be even greater....all the best.

@jackjohanneshemp , he is working hard, almost every day

@omarb thx

Gracias @acidyo

@acidyo Thank you for OCD and promoting the Steemit community man! Every other day you keep reminding me why you're one of my favourite Steemians.

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

Uhh, why is the post about a Dutch/Belgium curator ending with, "if you want to become a Korean curator in our project". Word typo? :P

Haha p

Woops

I do not cease to be surprised by your enthusiasm. People like you did the current price for Steem and sbd.
Good luck to you and good.

Не перестаю удивляться Вашему энтузиазму. Такие люди как Вы, сделали нынешнюю цену на Steem и sbd.
Удачи Вам и добра.

How much time does an o.c.d curator invest in the project on average per day ?

Let me know when you are looking for a Romanian curator :)

If I remember correctly, my Belgian friend told me in Belgium, the few languages are Dutch, French, German.

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

Is there a French curator team? the French community is growing relatively and might be needed. There are a lot of French speaking countries in Africa and might bring in traffic to steemit.

Yes we have french curators.

@acidyo, good to see other languages getting traction in Steem

I would love to smoke A Dutch if you know what I mean

I would like to be a OCD Curator :)

how can e do any help in this can you please guide me brother thanks @acidyo

Reading the post would be a good start!

Thank you for the tips acidyo!

btw I'm a volunteer dutch teacher for 7 years now already but I have no time hihihi

Slightly confused; Belgians speak French Dutch and German

Yeah, it was with their dutch being a bit different in mind, not quite sure how different it is in writing but yeah.. that's why only 1 of each.

oeeeee, yeah I think @poeticsnake as well as @jackjohanneshemp are really kicking it in the dutch community. hard working people, going for the cause. The Lions Legion Daily as well as the ma1nevent are valuable assets these people work very hard for!!

Love yall

I vote for @jackjohaeshemp.

Good luck with finding a few good curators, @acidyo!
