**Rules Of OCD**

Operation Curation Delegation

Exploring the Steemitverse looking for gems.

Our goal is to curate better and with clear transparency.

OCD Rules

These rules are to be followed by the curators that have been selected for this project. Curators are participating on an at-will basis.

It is an OCD curator’s responsibility to read and follow these rules. However, these are not the only reasons that a curator can be removed from this project.

OCD curators will be held to a higher standard of ethical voting behavior.

Discord Rules:

Only OCD curators are to be granted entry into this server. Keep in mind that direct messages (to curators) is NOT a best practice and can in the long run cause harm to your ability to be seen by those that put effort into voting.

All Channels

No one is to discuss their own posts. It is fine to discuss ideas and things, but not a single person should be asking or saying upvoted (and any other similar words from the Steemitverse).

Do not link your own posts.

Remember that we are here to grow Steemit and encourage others.

This is not about us.

General

No links in this room.

Only conversation about the growth of the community.

Announcements

Only announcements that benefit the community that we are assisting.

No discussion in this room – this way no one misses a recent announcement.

An announcement could be a found scam or fraud (just an example).

Curation

Once every 24 hours, a curator should place one (1) nomination in this channel.

Vote only once, but using the upvote emoji.

Do not vote on your own nomination.

Mention the Genre of post in the comment just before pasting the link.

Propositions

This room is only for ideas to benefit or rule changes that should be presented for consideration of Acidyo.

Extra-Curation

This room is for links to non-nominations, but maybe you found an amazing project being done by an older account that deserves everyone’s love and attention.

Rules

This room is for rule suggestions and reminders before a curator is removed from the project.

Things To Do While Curating

These are important rules that must be adhered to while voting and picking nominations for the compilation post.

Finding Bad Content

You can help the author grow by leaving a comment or ideas to help their content, even if you will not be voting on it.

However, if it is plagiarism, stolen images, copy pasta, etc.
• DO NOT FLAG
• Go to Steemit.Chat: the channel is steemitabuse and report the findings

YouTube videos are not considered stolen as of now, even without original content.

Tracking

Bitrix24 is not a requirement, but if you are looking to be make an impact on the Steemitverse, this is a tool to use.

Bitrix24 is a fully functional CRM software (even at the free level). I use this to track folks that I find – the good and the bad. This is a great way to track contests and other types of Steemitverse activities.

Voting Properly

Self Voting
• Twice per day, on posts – maximum, but this is highly discouraged
• Not on your own comments
• Not on your own replies

If you get flagged, come to the room and we will review the event for further assistance.

Voting power – 80 % or higher as much as possible.
Below 70% is acceptable.
However, below 60% constantly, you will be removed from OCD.

Being a part of this project and a voting trail are not in your best interest as you risk falling below the required voting power.

Use these sites to access the voting slider
Only Log In With Your Posting Key
Chainbb.com
Busy.org

Voting Criteria (for most curation)

Generally newer accounts.
Less than 4 months (when possible)

Less than 100% voting power is acceptable (within reason)

Voting Criteria (for the post you nominate)

Absolutely a new Steemian.
Less than 4 months (confirm using appropriate tools)

Must be 100% voting power for this vote.

Attempt to find posts that are older than 12 hours (as this is normally when they are out of sight from traditional viewing).

Nomination need to be 24 hours ahead of time.

There needs to be at least 2 days left before payout on the Steemian’s post.

Leave the below note and an extra sentence (of your own – good comments make this work):

This gem of a post was discovered by the OCD Team!

Reply to this comment if you accept, and are willing to let us promote your gem of a post! By accepting this, you have a chance to receive extra rewards and one of your photos in this article will be used on our compilation post!

You can follow @ocd – learn more about the project and see other Gems! We strive for transparency.

Do this for at least one (1) author per day.
-- But only place the one that has responded in the current nomination room.

Compilation Post

This will be assigned weekly, to a chosen curator.

ONLY the person assign will be doing the OCD compilation post for the nominated curations.

The payout scale is being developed and payout will include the a higher percentage to the authors, who received a nomination and appeared in this post.

Accounting and managing of the funds will be handled by @clevercreator.

OCD - A team of altruistic curators displaying symptoms of Upvoting OCD! ..hehe. Great initiative to help discover some new talent on here!

Great initiative! Would love to be part of this! If there is anything I can do hit me up :) I'll try my best!

@ocd, this a really awesome way to find the hidden gems. Is this post for the curators? Because it lays down the rules n regulations for the OCD curators.

Is there anyway minnows are connected with this particular blog? I mean should I be actually commenting or not?.
Is there anyway minnows can contribute?

This post is to give the public an understanding of the rules the curators for OCD will be following. We want to be as transparent as possible.

Many, if not all of the curators are actually minnows with varying topic preferences and locations. We are hoping that this gives us a great opportunity to find the undervalued content that goes unnoticed, focusing on helping new users and minnows.

For more information you can check out the original post that laid out the idea for the project here, an update on the project here, and the selection of curators at this link here.

Hope that helps!

I heard about this operation but I didn't know the rules thanks for helping me discover new thing and for sharing this and keep on posting ;)

Sounds like a great service to find new content

STEEM On !!

Dave

Is it posible that you post the html version of the note in the Discord?

This looks like a great idea. Do you have a channel in steemit chat?

I also like that ocd is an anagram of cod, which is a tasty little fish.

Go the minnows!

Thanx! Noted.

Happy to be on the OCD Crew, and am out scouring Steemit as we speak! Resteemed.

Wow, what a cool project.

We try :)

Hello, feel free to add me as a curator. It's so cool that you use Bitrix24!

nice

Great initiative. This kind of stuff helps improve the quality of the content on steemit.

I know it's a time-consuming project, but it's gonna be worth it. Especially if you do it manually and enjoy the articles. Kudos to all ocds! :-)

Great project. Thanks for nominating me. I'll be following OCD and the curation project.
