As the title says, I'm gonna discuss about OCD. I'm not a psychiatric...or rather I'm a person with OCD. That's why I can confidently (not happily though) say that experienced how it feels to have OCD. I will try to keep it simple. To say it simply, OCD (Obsessive compulsive disorder) is a mental disorder that makes people get unwanted thoughts, or make them take unwanted actions.
CAUSES
According to Wikipedia, "The cause is unknown. Both environmental and genetic factors are believed to play a role. Risk factors include a history of child abuse or other stress-inducing event."

Diagnosis
According to Wikipedia, " Formal diagnosis may be performed by a psychologist, psychiatrist, clinical social worker, or other licensed mental health professional. To be diagnosed with OCD, a person must have obsessions, compulsions, or both, according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM)."

OCD in society
Having OCD is considered taboo in society. I mean, most of people around me don't accept OCD as a disorder. They say things like "You should just control your thoughts" or "OCD is nothing but a delusion". They can say things like that because they don't have OCD. Also family trying to hide the fact that, that you have OCD is normal too ( I myself think that OCD is annoying but...). OCD people often gets divorce from their partners. But There are people who helps too. My mom and little sis helps me too (But sometimes gets get angry but they understand ).
How does it feel to have OCD
Wikipedia says, "People with OCD are often aware that their behavior is not rational, are unhappy about their obsessions but nevertheless feel compelled by them."

They know they will be scolded, made fun of or rejected; still, they continue to comply with their obsessions and compulsions.
What I have to say
I think people should try to understand a litte...If your precious family members have it too, you should try to help them a bit...I won't tell you to accept OCD, but please don't make fun of them. Because they don't do things they do because they want to.
How am I doing now
I saw a doctor and taking my medications. I'm doing fine now and getting better. I advise you to see a doctor and take your medications regularly if you have OCD.
