Vlog 96 | Taking The Osprey Paco and DJI/Ryze Tello For A Family Hike

in onelovedtube •  6 years ago  (edited)

Follow along with me and my family as we go for an adventure in the woods and try out some of our new gear. We took advantage of the REI sale this weekend and got a Osprey Paco baby carrier for 20% off. These things are expensive, if your a parent and an outdoors person then you definitely know. The baby carrying devices we had just weren't good enough for long hikes so it is exciting to get the Osprey Paco to have the opportunity to start going on longer hikes. I also figured it was a perfect opportunity to take my Tello out into the woods for the first time. I plan on doing a in depth review of both the Paco and the Tello in some later videos so If your interested in either of these make sure to smash that follow/subscribe button.

We chose the Osprey Paco over other baby backpacks as my wife and I are very different heights and while other brands are adjustable most of them are kind of a pain to adjust the size. They Paco is really easy and fast to adjust it takes less than a second to switch between my wife's torso length and mine. It also has a built in sun shade which is pretty awesome to help keep some sun off the little guy.

The Tello is an amazing drone and for $100 I think everyone vlogger should get one to capture some B roll that would be impossible to get without a drone. It's less than .55 pounds which means in the USA it doesn't need to be registered. The video quality isn't great but it's usable for vlogging in my opinion. The biggest problems is sometimes the video gets choppy and isn't smooth which is a major problem. I've also ahd the app crash on me leaving the tello in free hover till I reopen the app. ANd on this hike for the first time I had the app kind of glitch out and get delayed so that the tello wasn't responded and kind of freaked out for a second. so definitely room for improvement there but for the price and the size it's awesome. I definitely end up with a lot of footage I can't use but the fact that there is footage I can use for $100 is great.

I hope you enjoyed the video, I had a lot of fun making it. and again stand by for a full review of the Tello and Paco in videos to come. in the meanwhile check them out on amazon.

Drones are cool but I don't think it should be allowed to fly these things above humans in cities since it can be a potential danger if they would stop to work.

flying safe is definitely important. In the USA there are a lot of regulation about flying including no flying over people. Eventually I hope to get a commercial drone liscnence although I suspect when I get a larger drone I’ll be flying it as a modeler a bit before I get my liscence

Awesome to hear! 😼
