This is very disturbingly common. For these morons, having some egg in the dough is actually as vegan as a glass of water. They can not distinguish. The fake-healthy "vegetarian" lifestyle (which means plant-eater as a word but uses animal products) has been poisoning peoples minds for decades.
I'm always fighting a crusade with bakers, arguing about the bread and cookies, which has what in it. They are just so incredibly ignorant, and especially the owners. If you are a businessman, you need to listen to the customers and what they want. In my "favourite" bakery, I have 1 white bread and 1 brown bread without anything inappropriate, plus 1 cookie. That's it. That are the 3 things I can buy.
