One photo every day: Reflection (245/365) + Vera's offer to the Finnish people on Steem.

in onephotoeveryday •  7 years ago  (edited)

Hey!

Kiemis was very active today. But I still couldn't get her tongue in photo, my timing is still off. Her rhythm is not quite so predictable.

Vera asked me to convey something to the Finns reading my posts, so I'll write it in Finnish after the photo. I hope you the photo. :)

Reflection
Kiemurainen reflecting...

Camera body: Canon EOS 550D
Lens: Sigma ART 50mm ƒ/1.4
Aperture: ƒ/2.2
Exposure: 1/125 s
ISO: Dual-ISO 400+800

Jep, eli suomeksi:

Vera on lupautunut hoitamaan kirjanpidon näistä Steemiin ja muihin virtuaalivaluuttoihin liittyvistä tuloistani (itse kun olen varsinainen pässinpää matematiikan yms. juttujen kanssa). Hän onkin tavallaan pioneeri tällä alueella kun on jokusen vuoden seurannut oman miehensä edesottamuksia virtuaalivaluuttojen parissa. Tällä hetkellä edes verottaja ei tunnu olevan oikein perillä omista säädöksistään virtuaalivaluuttojen suhteen, saati sitten moni kirjanpitäjä.

Veralla on siis etulyöntiasema moneen muuhun alansa edustajaan nähden.

Hän pyysi kuitenkin kysymään, löytyisikö täältä Steemin parista muita, joilla saattaisi olla kirjanpidollista tarvetta omille tuloilleen, varsinkin virtuaalivaluuttoihin liittyviin ansio- sekä pääomatuloihin liittyen, fiat-valuuttoja unohtamatta.

Eli vinkatkaas tänne päin jos kiinnostusta löytyy.

Yep, that's it for today. I was kind of lazy today, I've been basically binge watching The Bridge, and um... I've still got 2 episodes left. Damn it's getting intense. I just love Swedish police thrillers. Danish... um. Well anyway, the Danes and Swedes have done excellent cooperation with this one.

Well, how can I sleep now!!

At first look, I thought it was two snakes on the two sides of glass. Reflection, great title of the post. Decent click!Truly said that , I am extremely perplexed of a wide range of snake .... only unpleasant to me . By the way , your photography is decent .I am simply endeavoring to peruse your Finnish message! Astounding dialect, you utilize a considerable measure of twofold letters in order such aa, uu. I can't help suspecting that your dialect is extremely melodic !

@gamer00,
Honestly the reflection saws the dark side of your pet snake! Amazing photography from you again!

Cheers~

The picture looks great
Although as you said it would have been great if Kiemurainen put out her tongue

I think am not wanted here as this has become a finnish forum, lol. Nice photo of Kiemis.. if I still remember the name

Mulla vois olla tarvetta Veran palveluksille mutta vaikuttaa aika lierolta tyypiltä, voikohan siihen luottaa🤔

Haha, kuvassa on siis meidän poikien käärme Kiemurainen (tuttavallisesti Kiemis). Vera on vaimoni nimi. :)

Jostain syystä tämä käy enemmän järkeen :D

No kirjanpitäjän tapauksessa ehkä mutta juridiikassa asia lienee toisin. :)

Laitoin sulle steemin private memo -viestinä Veran sähköpostiosoitteen.

So your wife Vera is an expert in accounting? Lucky you, I would die from boredom trying to figure out everything related to taxes :(((
And now you can make pretty camera shots and have fun instead. Or go and read a book with children :D

Vera on vaimoni, kuvassa on poikiemme käärme Kiemurainen. ;)

heh. Oikeastaan niin minä tämän aluksi tulkitsin mutta sitten nää kommentit sai mut vaihtamaan.
Tuli sitten kutsuttua "vetävän näköseksi":)
Ps. Paras nimi ikinä käärmeelle

Well, what is in Finnish can not understand, haha
Friend, two questions, how do you keep it alive since they are cold-blooded? Do you have a special system to keep it in a hot climate or only the internal climate of the house is enough?
Saludos.

We have a thermal mat under the terrarium (vivarium?), and also two heat lamps above it, one for visible light at daytime and one UV lamp for nights. UV light is something corn snakes can't see so it works for nightly source of warmth. We could also have placed it in a cold cupboard to hibernate for a couple of months, if we only had one. But we were too slow to get one before she caught a cold last year. So we've had to keep her warm all winter instead.

Well, thanks for the answer, I was asking because of all the good quality photos that you make of the outside, I see that it is very cold where you live, of course I imagined that I should have something to keep it warm.
Has your pet ever become ill?

The shot is really good even without the tongue out but you will get it btw snakes are very active? I thought they would spend it all day hidden, anyway I was also addicted to the Swedish crime novels they are very engaging and addictive.

omething to the Finns reading my posts.

hahaha, now I feel like becoming a Finn. Lol.

Well, I have no idea what you said, but it looks like a very pretty language...

And after a trip to google translate... Your wife does your taxes?

Oh well. Nice snake, I'm not a huge fan in general but she has wonderful coloration.

Yes, I'm pretty bad with all those numbers...

Kiemis is a beautiful corn snake, my boys got her from their aunt when she hatched. The color is called amelanistic as she lacks any black pigment.

Cool snake! I'm afraid of snakes though, and could never have one in my house. Plus, I'm not sure how they would get along with my cats lol.

Amazing animal! Have you noticed how her reflection looks a bit more intimidating while her other side that we see on the photo looks even a bit friendly? Or is it just me? :)

That snake is your pet? fascinating.

The series you're watching today is very good. I feel an infinite grief for Saga, forced to choose between duty and her only friend; and a terrible sense of helplessness to see a Martin losing everything overnight.

Handsome snake watching her reflection in the terrarium. Great shot.
If you want to get a rare photo with a tongue maybe you can try to make a high definition video and crop the photo from it? Or you will lose a lot of quality?

Cool idea, but yes some quality would be lost, at least 2/3 of the picture size would be lost so I guess it could translate to similar quality loss too.

If I'm not wrong cameras have the multishot feature.
So maybe if you just find a good angle and take photos non-stop, you can get one rare photo with her tongue :d

My camera shoots too slow. Even non stop. And the buffer would fill instantaneously... Also, the focus couldn't keep up with it. Too old camera for spray'n'pray. ;)

Oh well... Then there is only one way! To sit in front of her for daysss, observe and learn when the tongue is about to show up.
Maybe after a couple months, you will walk out with a giant beard but your head held high. With a proud look of a man who finally did it lol.

Seems like you need a camera that has a faster burst and faster autofocus even just to get the perfect shot!

Yea I'd like one like that. :)

their colors are really beautiful-but I would not approach him about 1 meter away haha

your native language if it looks hard

That is one beautiful snake! is that a red python? I wish I could have one at home but someone here would be really upset if I brought one home...

Yea we think she's beautiful too. She's not a python though, but a corn snake. :)

Vielä ei ole tarvetta, mutta ehkä jatkossa on. Pitää kysellä sitten täältä suunnasta, jos en tiedä jotain tai tarvin apua tulevaisuudessa :)

What's name her? I don't remind it.
Smart active your pet snekky. Cool & calm reflection indeed.

Her name is Kiemurainen, or Kiemis to her friends. ;)

Vera on kauniita värikuvioita (koska pidän oranssista: p), mutta olen hyvin peloissaan : o x

Vera is my wife, the snake is named Kiemurainen. :)

Omg, I feel so embarrassed now . I’m so sorry 🙈. Forgive me please

Haha :D

I did not know that it was a female.

Is it matured and when are expecting it's baby or babies?

We are not going to give her a male friend. But even if we did want to let her have baby sneks, it's not advisable to because Kiemis has a birth defect, she's got a kinked spine.

These eyes killed me bloody eyes with the Orange and red and white colors like a flame fire magic on snake

Amazing shot indeed friend and i really like her calmness.

This picture could have been shared in the challenge of reflection ..

I think the same. It's a wonderful shot.
Even though reflection is a bit scary.

Your pet snake color is very nice .
Nice photo

Wow....such a wonderful and interesting photography byb@gamer00
Smart work...
"Kiemurainen", and "Kiemis"...
Smart combination..
Wel done sir...

Nice photo of your pet snake . Have a nice day jaro

Is it pet snake? Another very different photo than what normally people post here. Nice click!

Yea it's my boys' pet snake, Kiemurainen. They got her from their aunt.

The snake seems ding yoga with opened eyes. Might be enjoying 'me' time. :)

She might. Btw. snakes can't close their eyes (they don't have eyelids) so she even sleeps eyes open.

I think tomorrow you will be less lazy, and we will see the language of your snake. Thanks for sharing.

At first glance, I thought it was two snakes on both sides of glass. Reflection, very good title of the post. Nice click!

Truly said that , I am very afraid of all types of snake .... just terrible to me . By the way , your photography is nice .

Your snake Kiemis looks stunning in orange outfit! She is looking at her own reflection to see if she needs tomout on makeup!

I am just trying to read your Finnish message! Amazing language, you use a lot of double alphabets such aa, uu. It seems to me that your language is very musical !

ha ha ha ha, now l feel like becamining fine lol...thanks for the sharing post.

He sure is !that I can say !The reflection of him is quite great to say ;)

I dont know how often the tongue comes out. May have to do a burst of shots and just hope!

this would have been a good entry in SPC if the theme reflection pops out
btw .. warm regards and it's good to see you once in a while
TC!

That snake is cold blooded?
I love its color. It is very unique.
