Build your own disastrous space colony with the final version of Rimworld

After five years of development and successful early access, Rimworld is finally officially released in version 1.0, with a launch trailer.
It's more fun than it sounds.

Rimworld is finally released in a final version. This is the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in this management game that mixes survival and systemic sandbox narrative where anything can happen. After five years of development and more than a million copies sold, Tynan Sylvester's title is now available in a version considered final.

For those who do not know Rimworld, the player controls a small group of survivors stranded on a small lost planet and supervises the construction of a makeshift camp that eventually becomes a real operational base. If the title looks furiously like a certain Prison Architect, it is more of a spatial Dwarf Fortress (especially more accessible).

Manage the moods, needs, thoughts, individual injuries and illnesses of settlers. Participate in armed combat in teams. Make structures, weapons, and clothing out of metal, wood, stone, fabric, or exotic or futuristic materials. Fight against pirates, hostile tribes, raging animals and ancient and murderous machines. Discover a new world generated every time you play. Build colonies in diverse biomes, from deserts to jungles and tundra, each with its own unique flora and fauna. Manage and develop settlers with unique backgrounds, traits and skills. Learn to play easily with the help of an intelligent and discreet AI mentor.

If you like to modify your games, you will be delighted. The number of mods is quite impressive and the community is still as active as ever. With 97% of positive opinions on Steam, it would be a shame to do without it. Many say it is one of the few games where early access has been successfully managed from A to Z. This is not nothing for a project that is more than 5 years old.

Sylvester will continue to maintain the game and incorporate fan translations, but has no plans to add new features in the near future. There is already plenty to do.

Rimworld is available on PC.
