How to start a casino in Curacao or Malta
I recently wrote a blog outlining the costs of regulating a casino in Malta and decided to add it to my blog here.
What I like about Malta is that it is part of the EU, has a multi-lingual workforce, tax incentives and the gambling license is accepted all over Europe.
What I do not like about Malta are the cost structures which do not support entrepreneurs and small business. My main theme is to champion the underdog and Malta does everything but that.
In Malta there are 4 classes of license, each class comes with extortionate setup and annual fees as well as commissions on turnover. This license is for well-funded companies and not for the smaller operator. God help you if you are on a frugal budget and you make the mistake of regulating in Malta!

On the other hand, the cost to set up a casino in Curacao is remarkably cheaper and simpler. These guys are championing the smaller entrepreneur who would otherwise have no choice than to set up a casino using a Costa Rica license which is really a data processing license more than anything else.

Alternative gambling licensing
I wrote an article recently about using a third party service to get games licensed and regulated using the GamblingTec.com service. This is a must-have for game developers or casino operators wanting to get their toes wet but not being too keen to blow a small fortune on an untested idea.
