Ravnica is one of the most popular settings in Magic: The Gathering. The cards and storyline describe a plane where a vast city is ruled by ten guilds, representing the two-color combinations of the five colors of mana. You can delve into the mythology of this planet-wide city here.
This pack of cards doesn't have any high-value surprises, but the rare is one I need for a deck I am trying to refine for Commander. The foil bonus is only a common, but it looks cool. The uncommons may have merit, and Justiciar's Portal in particular among the commons has a lot of potential. Guildgates aren't the best of the dual lands, but they have their place, especially in singleton decks or as Ravnica synergy may demand.

I have not opened a single new pack since I indulged in splitting a full box of Dominaria. Sometimes its good to do this, though financially always bad!

I never got into this years ago and I feel it is too far down the line for me to start now. Not judging...but wouldn't whoever spends the most money have a distinct advantage over other players?

I play Commander to avoid the pay-to-win crowd. There are still decks that are designed to pay to win and make the game not fun, but far fewer. And I don't need to keep up with Standard by buying my way into new decks with every release.
