A little piano playing. Something organic to unwind from the mechanical trance music making. Melody that came to mind. Will maybe turn it into something more interesting later. Ha.. Need to trim my nails... Sorry... Bit of a hermit lately.

Sounds great! But why have the metronome on? Does the clicking help you?

Yeah, annoying :-) Bounced the track with the tick tock on by accident and was heading out the door.

Thanks! Still learning this stuff. Sorry for the late reply. I only check in every often.
Yes, you can use LMMS which is a DAW(Digital Audio Workstation) for Linux. It's free and offers similar functionality and production tools as Logic Pro ($200 USD).
Many producers don't even use a keyboard to make music now days as they can just draw the music in block form on the piano roll. You can start making music with LMMS without a Keyboard. To use a keyboard with LMMS, you need cheap USB controller keyboard. The ones from Novation to Akai run anywhere between $50 and $100 USD. Can probably find a used one even cheaper. They come in different sizes and a 61 key is good enough if you plan on playing traditional piano. If you just need to key individual song parts a 25 will do. The Akai Mini is a nice controller under $100 USD. Hope that helps.
Here is a sample of what you do with LMMS. Can make pro level music with LMMS.
