Hi Friends!
I am so excited because I joined Open Mic back in week 52, and have not missed a single week since! This means that I'm on my 30th entry. Man, how time flies. I'm so grateful to be part of this incredible and supportive group of musicians. Thanks @luzcypher for giving people a place get over their fears, share their talents and find community.
This week I am singing "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran. He is one of my favorite artists and I'm so excited because I get to see him in Seattle in August!
One more small victory from this week is that I finally bought a mic stand with an extendable arm for my piano covers. Getting the mic close enough to make a good recording has been a struggle for a long time. This thing was only like $20 bucks... I'm not sure why I put it off so long! I'm really happy with how the recording sounds compared to my regular piano covers.

Awwwww you sing beautifully my friend. You’re an awesome singer, you know I used to participate in the open mic but as I don’t have any musical instruments to play as the rule says I had to give up which wasn’t a happy decision. I’m a singer and a beginner, following your blog will definitely get me to learn a lot. I have my works on my blog if you have the time , you might check them out. Aww thank you so much! I was really sad to see that open mic rule change too. 😞 Even though it didn’t affect me because I play a couple instruments... I know there are a lot of great singers who don’t play an instrument and so it didn’t seem fair. I think they were getting overloaded with spam entries and did that as a response.
