This has been a fantastic Week 2 for the Songwriter’s Challenge, I keep on feeling inspired at every turn, at every click. The Theme for the week “Lost and Found” was sure to evoke a lot of different emotions on our Steemian Writers, and It’s just a treat to experience the spectrum of interpretations.

   As always narrowing it down to five has been extremely difficult this week, I’ve been writing and rewriting this post for the past two days, as I can’t seem to agree with myself a lot lately. I told myself I had to be better, but I guess this struggle will be my common theme as the weeks go by.

   This is a brand new Steemian, weeks into the platform, and already making some musical waves. His song “Try again” has all the making of a Hit, a catchy chorus, fantastic lyrics and the simplicity necessary so that it doesn’t leave your head for hours at a time.

   I’m looking forward for more entries from @luisferchav , I have a feeling he will be a big part of the open mic community for many months to come.

   There are musicians who are talented, and there are those who posses a gift hard to describe. I don’t know how many times @chaifm has given me goosebumps, but I have to say that if I had a satoshi for every time she has done so, I would be sitting pretty.

   An emotional song describing the pain of being lost in loneliness. A feeling many of us can relate. This song is just a treat, you just need to listen to it and get lost yourself.

   Another fantastic entry from @onetruebrother. It’s amazing to me how his originals sound like songs I’ve been listening to my whole life. It’s almost as if in a parallel dimension these songs were part of the soundtrack of my younger years.

Fantastic writing my friend, I have so much respect and admiration for your natural talent.

   I hope @senzenfrenz takes this like a compliment, because I mean it as one. On his week one entry @senzenfrenz started his video by saying how he was not a singer and thus the song might not be what It needs to be. His week one entry was a great song, and I kind of gave him a hard time for selling himself short. This week, man… this week he came out of his cocoon, his entry was absolutely fantastic, his creative approach was so refreshing to hear and see.

I have no doubt @senzenfrenz is going to keep on delivering gold for us.

   One of the nicest and warmest people on the blockchain. It’s hard not feel the inspiration behind his songs. There is a life philosophy that drives him to write, a philosophy of gratitude so powerful that it’s simply impossible for me not to feel inspired.

Thank you for sharing @cabelindsay, just in case I never told you… you and your family are amazing.

      Not only did she write a great entry for this week, but in her intro, she delivered the core message, the core ethos behind this community. It was one of those moments where I could not help but to feel proud of this young lady.
