I recently been thinking to myself, what if employees had freedoms. Then I started to think about what the workplace would look like, then I searched the term "self managed organization" I found three companies that apply the ideas of self management. From what I gathered the first is Morning Star http://morningstarco.com/index.cgi?Page=Self-Management then Valv software http://www.valvesoftware.com/company/ those are two very different types of companies. How many companies out there that apply self-management? another great resource http://www.self-managementinstitute.org/about/what-is-self-management

That would be great for some companies, but maybe not for all. Interesting how much more productive some people are when given more freedoms in the workplace.
