Last week, my input to a GAN (Generative Adverserial Network) returned image #1; leaving me severely unimpressed.
My Initial thoughts were, "This sure is a fugly (f*ckin' ugly), incoherent mess."
To me, it's desperately shouting, "No really! I'm REAL art, just the new AI Generative kind! Hey, wait a minute. Uh-uh, don't even think about scrapping me, buddy! It was YOUR input to the GAN that made me. I am YOUR baby."
[All true statements that I couldn't argue with then or now.]
Feeling responsible, I wanted to just shelve it; hoping to forget it eventually.
But then I looked at it a little longer, more closely and from different angles - including upsidedown.
That's when I saw the elements for creating "The Native" artwork.
*A rare, signed, higher resolution and non-watermarked version of "The Native" is available for download at: https://creary.net/digitalart/@jaichai/jaichai-the-art-behind-the-native-original-digita
Imagine that?
It was image #1, that "fugly" Generative Art, that provided the inspiration, plus key elements for making "The Native" piece.
Submitted for your amusement.
May you and yours be well and loving life today.
