How I Made Wildflowers Into A Beautiful Bouquet !!!

As I was telling in my last post, we live in an area surrounded by wheat fields and therefore we have lots of wildflowers that can be found growing along the pathways. Our district is located in the outskirts of the city , actually near the border to Lower Austria. We have a creek nearby and lots of natural materials can be found there. So here, I´m sharing with you a wonderful bouquet of various wildflowers that I did previously.

It was a bunch of blooms gathered everywhere on a Sunday when we walked Lily along the creek. The area in summer is always full of clover, salvia, wild red berries ( not edible) and other wild blooms. I used some leaves together with the flowers of the onions and in arranging my flowers, I see to it that the taller pieces are placed in the center.

Then, I arranged the shorter pieces on all sides sort of surrounding the taller pieces. The ones with pointed or elongated flowers like in this case here of the purple salvias are placed randomly before the tall blooms. Somehow, I always create my arrangements by gathering them with my hand because I can control its shape, I could easily pull out the ones that stands out differently. Later, I would tie a knot around them to fix it and hold its shape.

The last process is choosing the vase that would suit the colors of the flowers. Here, a vintage red Murano glass pitcher which was a family hand-down from hubby´s Oma is used as a vase. I think it suited perfectly to the wild red berries. The blue and white vase was a second choice and reflects the contrast of the blue and purple salvias.
