As some of you know, this time last year there was speculation that Minecraft was going to allow its players to earn DigiByte during gameplay. I thought this was a great idea, however, I’ve never played Minecraft- nor do I ever plan to. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think Minecraft poses the opportunity for player to player interaction. Why play a computer game in 2018 if you can’t make friends from all over the world? I say this with no Minecraft experience, and I’m afraid that my opinion would change upon making an account or whatever it takes to play, so I’m going to avoid it all together.
Right after graduating college, instead of expressing myself as a “free" agent, I sort of caved inward; I became a hermit wrapped in blankets.. never leaving the house.. relying on spliffs, snacks, and my computer for survival. In that state of mind it only seemed natural to start a new Runescape account. (Allow me to clarify, old school Runescape (OSRS) only; new version is whack I believe? I haven’t tried it out though.) I’m not ashamed to admit that I love Runescape, but it is embarrassing to think of all the time that I had invested into .. well.. killing virtual enemies. Runescape became not only a vice but an addiction that eventually got in the way of every day responsibilities e.g. showering. I have always been the kind of player to focus on combat stats; never have I been able to endure mining for example. But let’s be honest, increasing any stat requires redundant clicking, which can be pretty boring. My opinion on this would invert immediately if cryptocurrencies were implemented into the game. Most players do not require incentive to play these games. Though, by incorporating the ability to earn cryptocurrencies into an online platform such as Runescape or World of Warcraft, the player base could reach monetary goals as well developmental stat goals. This would in turn apply tangible value to existing accounts, instead of a made up figure assigned by the account holder who wishes to sell their account. What I’m trying to say is that at this point in time, these accounts only maintain sentimental value. If that were to change, I don't see any reason that would keep me from playing again.
There are rumors swirling that Jagex is going to release OSRS for the iPhone. Not only will this revive old accounts that have been collecting dust, but it will extend the fanbase exponentially (via people like me ranting and raving and playing while driving (JOKE)). Suppose I should propose this to Jagex. Maybe not. But it is a thought. A thought that I really like. :)
Does anyone know more about this? There is so much potential here in my opinion!

The question is how would they do that? Is a nice concept tho. I'm a active OSRS player myself, I would love to earn some extra cash while I enjoy playing the game
