I'm tired of seeing people die to drugs..

Disclaimer: this story is in no way glamourizing drugs. I'm just sharing my story.-

-In case you couldn't tell by the title, yes I have lost many people to drugs and alcohol abuse. I guess that's really the only thing I really blog about but I feel like I should do it more.
My addiction story began when I was 13 years old and first smoked weed at a buddy's house the summer before 8th grade.
I then moved onto alcohol at the age of 15. Me and my high school friends would drink their parent's liquor and refill the bottles with water.

It was pathetic.

So this high school lifestyle of sneaking and getting high, drinking liquor, and doing drugs was our lives. We all had our various reasons (some, purely recreational while others self medicinal)... But we didn't see the results at that early stage, since we all lived with our parents in a first world country!

fast forward to age 18. My mom kicked me out of the house because I was getting caught smoking weed and dipping into the liquor cabinet too much. So I get myself a "good job" (after bouncing around for a bit) , get a one room apartment, and finance a 10 thousand dollar white mazda 626 and put two 12 inch subwoofers and a 2000 watt liquid cooled amp in the trunk....

Only to crash it less than a week later.

I went to a house party at a neighboring high school kid's house in Ludlow, MA (I lived in chicopee) -and proceeded to "play hard" and "live for the weekend"...

except I technically didn't live.

Being in a foreign town around strangers and your one or two friends at the party are too inebriated to stand straight let alone have your back things get hairy... Like.. (insert anatomy joke here)

Long story short, I stumbled out of the party in a complete blackout, and took one straggler who also wanted a ride home apparently (he later told people that I ran over his mailbox and tore up his front lawn upon leaving.)

I made it to the highway and missed my exit to my apartment, and passed out at the wheel.

I flipped my mazda 626 complete with sound system and sunroof 6 times, and was subsequently thrown out of that very sunroof to land on the other side of the highway for dead.

When they re started me (apparently in the ambulance) - I would remain in a coma for 2 weeks.
