One really common source of energy has been the burning of fossil fuels, this energy source has been more like a go-to source for decades and its really cheap and accessible. Tho this has been the go-to source for almost everyone despite the side-effects. The burning of fossil fuels leads to a lot of emissions like carbon dioxide and other toxic gases which are the main causes of the constantly aggravating global warming and even cancer in humans. The need for energy keeps rising by the day and as a result the production of energy increases thereby increasing the emission of harmful gases to the atmosphere; these gases are even also responsible for the ozone layer depletion.
The most desired solution or alternative source of energy production which would greatly reduce the emission of global warming causing gases and even improve the global quality of health is Renewable Energy. Renewable Energy sources, if at all produce very little global warming causing gases but it is the best alternative to carbon emitting energy sources.
The use of renewable energy would greatly improve the quality of health of humans and animals alike as there is a huge reduction in the contamination and pollution of air and water. The only setback to the use of renewable energy is that energy distribution is really costly and still inefficient and in some ways insecure. There are still some other barriers to the connection of clean energy to consumers but this is where the "Peer to Peer Energy Protocol" platform comes in.
The Peer 2 Peer Energy Protocol platform is a new blockchain related project that aims at connecting consumers of renewable energy with the producers of it.
P2PEP is a decentralised peer 2 peer protocol that is built with the Ethereum blockchain standard and allows anyone to make use of renewable energy at any given time or instance. Apart from the aim of P2PEP to connect consumers of renewable energy with the producers of it, P2PEP plans to introduce clean energy solutions to areas that have very poor energy facilities.
