Today is a day to try something new. I know it is most likely a stupid attempt, but I have some ugly almost white (very bright wooden color) laminate in a room, and I want to have it darker. Of course, it is possible to change it, but that takes a lot of time, and also money, and I don't know how to do it (yet). So, instead I wanted to give an attempt at fixing it with wooden dark lacquer. Well, I first started with sanding the laminate, vacuum cleaning, and then giving it the first layer... well, so far, who knows.
I only used sanding paper 100, meaning it was very "soft", so I have a feeling I would have had a better result using stronger and more "heavy" sanding paper, because the lacquer seems to have a hard time "attaching" to the laminate, but it has only been 30 minutes since I added the first layer, and at least one-two more are coming, so who knows what it will be like in the end?
I am curious :)
