Stroganoff palace

Today I want to tell you about the Stroganoff palace in St.Peterburg. It is located on Nevsky prospect on the corner of Moika river. It was built in 1750 by the prominent archintect Bartolomeo Rastrelli in the late baroque style. The Palace belonged to Stroganoff family until 1917. The Stroganoffs were one of the richest noble people of the tsarist Russia. Stroganoff palace contains vast collections of art like paintings, sculpture, furniture, minerals (in the Mineral Study). The entree fee is simbolic. So it wont'n make a big dent in you wallet while visiting S.Peterburg. Overall it was a nice weekend. Thanks.
