I did a mistake selliing btc on Localbitcoins

My first big mistake at Selling BTC

I want to share my sad loss of 250 USD...

I did my first month doing sell/buy at Localbitcoins. Before I just used to buy and sell when necessary. But as the trading is not so stable yet in the alcoints I decided to trade at Localbitcoins just recently on last July.

last week I began to sell at United States in addition to only Hong Kong, as I have a bank account at Capital One. So I am able to receive money in my account. Once sold, I taught to buy with those USD, same way, paying via ZELLE.

All it was good until a couple of days, when I did a sell for someone in the United States via ZELLE, and later she asked me for more btc. I did the add in order to sell more. But it took longer than expected as the payment was not going on. She sent screen shots of 'in review' and later 'refused' payment. I called Capital One, they said the problem should be in their side not in my side, meaning no restriction to receive any deposit via ZELLE.

The day before, someone had a similar problem. In that situation I said to use other e-mail as I can use two e-mail in order to receive ZELLE. And the transaction was approved.

So after a while i asked to try a wire transfer, I gave my information, but the payment was not going on either. I thought we could tried another mean and i decided to propose to receive the 250+ USD at my PayPal account. The problem was when she asked me The same e-mail, I answered 'yes'. But seconds later I had remembered I don't use any more that PayPal account, so I said immediately to change the e-mail... no answer.

Minutes later she asked me if I had received the e-mail. For a while I thought she changed the e-mail and went to my gmail checking the PayPal e-mail. I opened one PayPal e-mail, but it was another, not her e-mail. But maybe because I got tired or whatever I didn't pay attention, I just thought it was her e-mail.

I liberated the btc... But thinking about the amount I came again to my gmail. There was not an e-mail from her! My god, I taught, she didn't change the e-mail!

My torture began. I sent message explaining my mistake, checked the other e-mail but no one notification. So I ask to help me fixing this mistake. No one answer!!!

I send e-mail to her e-mail, explaining much more and telling that from her side it was still possible to cancel the transaction. No answer!

Next day I checked my e-mail, expecting some words from her. Nothing!

Again, I sent message at her account in Localbitcoins. Never answered! I saw she has accessing her account but no answered.

I decided to change my comment to neutral, waiting for some new message about a possible hope to cancel that transfer and do it in the correct one. In my comment I explained why I was changing my comments. But always silent.

I gave up! Money lost! And next day finally I decided to block this contact.

Sad experience, but I learned my lesson. I should I was stick to the previous info for the trade in question. Otherwise it will be better to cancel.

P. S. I also tried to recupere my other PayPal account. I contacted costumer service. But as I am not in United States and those phone number I don't use anymore, they say it is impossible to recupere the account. But I am pretty sure she never sent the money, or she cancelled the transaction once she knew my mistake.

Sad experience. My month was going very well!
